Geophysics Field Trip to Schramm Park – April 5!
Hi everyone,
Join us on Saturday, April 5 for a Geophysics Field Trip to Schramm Park! We’ll explore the exposed rock formations using near-surface geophysical techniques, including:
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
Seismic Refraction
These tools are widely used in engineering geology, geotechnical studies, environmental investigations, and even archaeology — so if you’re interested in any of those fields, this is a must-attend experience!
When: Meet outside Bessey Hall at 9AM. At Schramm Park from 10:30 AM – ~3:00 PM
Where: Schramm Park (about 1 hour away – meet us there or contact us for carpooling)
