Why earn a PhD in business or economics at UNL?

· Recent graduates have been hired as university faculty (90%) or analysts/consultants in firms, nonprofits or government (10%)

· Free tuition and benefits (e.g., health insurance) for 4-5 years
· Research/teaching assistantship (20 hours per week, stipend ≈ $25,000)

Application deadline of January 1; prerequisites:

· BS/BA: GPA ≥ 3.5 or above preferred but not required for all specializations
· MS/MA/MBA and work experience required for specializations in Accountancy, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management and Analytics
· Previous academic degrees do not have to be in Business or Economics
· GMAT: score ≥ 650 (or equivalent on GRE) preferred but not required for all specializations
· Calculus courses required for specialization in Accountancy, Economics, Finance, and Supply Chain Management and Analytics
· Statistics courses required for specialization in Finance
· Research experience preferred but not required
