On October 23, the Office of Global Strategies will host the second of three fall-semester workshops for international students who want to be employed in the U.S. through practical training.

The Global Edge: Career Strategies for International Student Success aims at preparing international students at Nebraska on how to discover potential Optional Practical Training (OPT) and Curricular Practical Training (CPT) opportunities during their time at the university.

This workshop will include topics like "How to Make the Most out of Career Services," "Job Search Strategies you Must Use," and "Becoming a Global Networker." The Global Edge workshop hopes to pioneer international student support in the form of transforming international students’ perceived employability both during school, and post-graduation. The Global Edge looks to be a difference-maker in the lives of those international students who exhibit a desire to be employed in the US either through internships or full-time jobs after graduation.

The next workshop is this Wednesday, October 23, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Ubuntu Room (2nd floor) at the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center.

If students are unable to make this workshop on October 23, another session is offered on November 6 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
