The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture is pleased to announce the 2020 Nebraska Plant Science Symposium.
This year's event will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center. The theme is "Advancing Frontiers in Plant Sciences: Challenges from Concepts to Applicability."
The event will consist of a morning session of invited speakers on various plant science topics, followed by lunch, and an afternoon session of workshops by experts in the field. Included in the afternoon, there will be tours of the facilities located at the Nebraska Innovation campus, a panel discussion ('Perspectives on communicating plant science in an interdisciplinary field"), student 3-minute talks, and a student poster competition.
A webinar of the morning seminars will be available. Please register, and information on how to attend via webinar will be sent to you.
The deadline to be considered a student speaker is February 16, 2020. The selected student speaker will receive a travel award of up to $500. The deadline to register and submit poster presentations is February 28, 2020.
