“We live in a highly globalized world. Our students are graduating and going to be working in a highly interconnected, globalized workplace. It is critical that they pick up those global competencies and skills to be successful in their future careers.”
— Dipra Jha, associate professor of practice and director of global engagement for the Hospitality, Restaurant, Tourism Management program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Global virtual exchange has incredible potential to create inclusive international opportunities for students, wherever they are in the world. Virtual classroom projects represent a viable manner in which we can provide such local-global experiences for our students, right here at Nebraska. The Global Voices Seminar hosted by the IANR Office of Global Engagement will be featuring Dipra Jha as the keynote speaker, who will be sharing his experiences teaching a virtual exchange class, “Three Countries, One Classroom.”

Join the seminar on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. (meet and greet begins at 11:30 a.m.) at the Goldenrod/Sunflower Room in the Nebraska East Union to learn more about creating and teaching a virtual exchange class. Lunch will be served, but registration is required. We highly encourage faculty members or graduate students across campus to consider teaching such courses in the future, and invite all who are interested to attend the seminar to learn more.

Reserve your spot by using the registration form.
