Career Services and the UNL LGBTQA+ Center have an exciting event coming up called Pride in the Workplace: Conversations and Connections on March 16, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Wick Alumni Center.

All students who are in the LGBTQA+ community and any student who wants a workplace that's inclusive and equitable to LGBTQA+ folks are welcome to attend. All are also welcome to attend to learn more about what companies are doing to support LGBTQA+ professionals.

A guest speaker from Union Pacific (UP) will talk about his experience creating inclusive policies at UP before open networking with representatives from 15 companies will take place. Pride in the Workplace is a vulnerable opportunity for students to practice having professional conversations about diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Additionally, students will gain connections with recruiters who represent companies that promote LGBTQA+ equality in their company through building welcoming cultures and implementing supportive policies.

Students are encouraged students to RSVP on Handshake.
