
This Thursday, April 30 at 6 p.m. CDT, the IANR Office of Global Engagement will be joined by Bobby Richey, the Minister Counselor for Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China.
Richey joined Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1986, and has since worked multiple roles in countries around the world. He has worked on a breadth of issues ranging from international food and health regulations to global food security.
In this seminar, Richey will share his 34-year career journey in FAS and student opportunities in foreign agriculture. In addition, he will also share his first-hand experience being in Beijing since January 2020, during the initial COVID-19 outbreak in China.
