Latino/a Graduate Student Association seeks members for community, mentorship

The Latina/o Graduate Student Association (LGSA) is for the student community at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL). LGSA seeks to provide a community of incoming and continuing Latina and Latino graduate students by offering support and mentorship, institutional and community outreach, and academic and professional development. LGSA's intent is to promote the graduation of Latina/o graduate students at UNL.

In order to accomplish this, LGSA has established goals. Some of the goals include increasing the recruitment of Latina/o graduate students, successfully retain and graduate Latina/o Master's and Doctoral students, promote graduate education to UNL undergraduate students, encourage networking among Latina/o graduate students, faculty, staff, and administrators, and provide academic enrichment to the UNL community.

To help achieve our goals, LGSA will conduct monthly meetings and social events, periodic seminars, lectures, and cultural enrichment programs to celebrate and highlight diversity of the Latina/o community.
