The Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Consortium (SBSRC) is hiring graduate research interns for hourly positions for fall, 2020. Research interns will work 10-20 hours per week. Specific job duties will be assigned to best align with available work and will be primarily focused on furthering SBSRC's mission to foster and catalyze growth, excellence, and broader impacts of social and behavioral sciences research. We create and nurture interdisciplinary research collaboration groups, support referral networks and inventories of existing resources, and provide research mentoring and training. Specific duties may include creating and maintaining resource databases, conducting interdisciplinary surveys, researching grant opportunities, and supporting grant writing. This will be a support role to SBSRC's Interim Director as well as to members of our current and future collaborative research groups.

Additionally, assisting with funded evaluation projects may be involved, to include developing data collection instruments, conducting interviews, note-taking, cleaning data, transcribing, analyzing quantitative data, analyzing qualitative data, writing results summaries, assisting in drafting reports, and conducting literature reviews. Possible projects include evaluating education programs, community health, early childhood nutrition, and other topics.

Must be able to work independently and have strong communication skills. Working collaboratively will also be required. Experience synthesizing and writing about data and descriptive statistics, and proficiency with Word, Excel, statistical software package (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Stata), and/or NVivo, or MAXQDA is preferred.
