Help brag about your programs and students’ experiences!
The Student Experiences Survey was recently launched to capture student experiences from the Summer and Fall terms of 2020 and UNL needs your students’ data! The survey collects student internships/co-ops, volunteerism, research, and/or other career experiences. Student experiential learning activities affect UNL rankings and accreditation and can support the value of attending and attaining a degree at UNL. Departments will receive survey results which may be used to showcase career and experiential activities of their students to promote their programs to prospective students and their families.
More broadly, the survey data will be used to understand the types of experiential learning Husker students engage in, how often, for how long, when, and where. Naturally, the more data collected, the stronger the results. Faculty, instructors, and other classroom leaders and advisors can help UNL get a strong set of data by encouraging your students to fill out the quick survey, open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
Directing students to the survey is easy!
The survey is available with a click in students’ MyRed. Ask them about their recent experiences to help them identify those which included career development components. Then encourage them to complete the survey as appropriate. Please note not completing the survey will not prevent students from registering or otherwise penalize them.
Student stories are UNL stories!
The Student Experiences Survey data will be fundamental in understanding and promoting career developmental opportunities and their accessibility at UNL through its many departments and programs.
