As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, interviews in government, industry, and academia are primarily being held virtually. Join this career development workshop, hosted by Collective Research Organization of Plant Scientists (CROPS), to learn some key tips for success in navigating these interactions. Additionally, as these skills are broadly relevant across career stages and disciplines.
Three panelists will share their insights:
- Dr. Marcella Szymanski, the Deputy Director of the Office of Agricultural Policy in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, who works to ensure food security and uphold international agricultural food safety standards
- Dr. Lyudmila Sidorenko, the Principal Research Scientist at Corteva AgriSciences and a 2020 Research and Fellow in Trait Discovery, who investigates epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation and transgene expression in maize
- Dr. Karin van Dijk, an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, whose research is focused on host-pathogen interactions and algal biology
