The Office of Graduate Studies will host the Orientation for New Teaching Assistants on August 17, 2021 in the City Campus Union. If you are new to being a TA, this event will provide you an introduction to teaching strategies and resources.

This in-person event will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 or 1 p.m. It will feature teaching resources and information as well as three sessions on:

  • grading and assessment
  • designing lessons or classroom activities
  • understanding student needs and building rapport
There will also be a panel of experienced TAs on Zoom from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Don't miss this great opportunity to prepare to be a TA and meet other new TAs.

All registered participants will also provided access to a Canvas page with teaching resources and materials.
