The Postdoc Science Slam will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., as part of Nebraska Research Days. Postdocs from all disciplines are invited to submit short, 60-second video proposals by October 22 for an opportunity to present during the event.

The Science Slam offers postdocs a platform to communicate with those both inside and outside their disciplines about their research or creative activity in an engaging, concise, and understandable format. Postdocs selected to present during the Slam will have five minutes to engage the audience. Following the presentations, the in-person and Zoom audience will vote to determine a winner. Presenters will receive a $100 participation award while the top three winners will receive a $650 prize to advance their research, scholarship, or creative activity.

The deadline to submit a video proposal is 5 p.m. Friday, October 22. Presenters will be selected by a panel of Office of Graduate Studies staff.
