November 2, 2022 | 3:30-4:30PM, via Zoom

This workshop will focus on how to integrate service-learning activities into your teaching. Service Learning is a practice when you ask students to complete volunteer or service work in the community while they are students in the class. This work is connected to the course learning objectives and often gives students practical experiences in the field. This workshop will talk about how to develop service-learning activities and the process for adding those to your course. Kris Baack, Ph.D. from Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement will offer information on designing service-learning activities and help you think about and plan service learning within your context.

Please email Lisa Rohde at lrohde2@unl.edu ASAP if you would like to attend to get the Zoom link. This will count towards CIRTL Certification.
