Hiring Microteaching Instructor for Institute for International TAs

For our Institute for International TAs, we are looking for a faculty member or advanced graduate student with teaching experience to serve as a Microteaching Instructor. The program will be held July 31-Aug 11 on City Campus.

The students are broken up into groups of about 10-15 students, and each group will have an undergraduate and an instructor to observe and provide feedback. The feedback is focused on the teaching methods and not on content, as the international graduate students come from departments across campus.

The projected schedule is as follows (this is currently tentative, but this gives a general idea of the commitment (30-35 hours) over the two weeks:
Day 1: 1:15pm-3:30pm
Day 2: 1:15pm-3:30pm
Day 3: 11am-12pm and 1:15pm-3:30pm
Day 4: 11am-12pm and 1:15pm-3:30pm
Day 5: 1:15pm-3:30pm
Day 6: 11am-12pm and 1:15pm-3:30pm
Day 7: 11am-12pm and 1:15pm-3:30pm
Day 8: 11am-12pm and 1:15pm-3:30pm
Day 9: 11am-12pm and 1pm-5pm
Day 10: 11am-12pm and 1pm-5pm

The compensation would be $1200 (graduate students) or $1,500 (faculty).
