There will be several upcoming teaching-focused workshops. these are great opportunities for TAs or those interested in teaching to learn more about teaching. All workshops will count towards CIRTL Certification.

Lesson Planning, February 13, 12-1 pm, Zoom
This workshop with discuss basic lesson planning principles. Participants will be given tools to plan their upcoming classes and lessons they will teach and will engage in discussion about how to effectively plan a lesson to present.

Neurodiversity in the Classroom, February 28, 12-1 pm, Zoom
This workshop will discuss neurodiversity and ways your students may differ in the classroom. Neurodiversity includes a variety of student learning differences ranging from ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, and some mental health diagnoses or learning differences. This workshop will discuss student needs and differences and strategies to help address their needs.

Inclusive Teaching Discussion, March 5, 3-4:30 pm Unity Room (Gaughan Center)
This interactive discussion session will focus on discussing case studies within a college classroom and applying inclusive teaching principles to the case. Participants will deepen their understanding of inclusive teaching and how to address student needs.

AI Petting Zoo (offered by the CTT), February 23, 10-11am CPEH 115
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has diversified and expanded since its impactful appearance on the world stage. Higher education was one of the greatest areas affected and many individuals have questions. This immersive hands-on workshop will introduce participants to what artificial intelligence is, the myriad of types of AI that exist, how to effectively engage and use them, and ethical uses for both professional and student use. Come take part in the demonstrations and discussions about where AI is and the new horizons of where AI could go.
