The Institute for International Teaching Assistants will be held in person from August 5-16, 2024. This 2-week program is designed to prepare international students for teaching in American classrooms.
Students will have teaching training, language courses, and microteaching sessions to practice their teaching skills. International students who will have TA appointments in the fall are expected to complete the program before they teach. Academic Departments are responsible for registering eligible students. This is a valuable opportunity for international students with teaching responsibilities to help them understand the academic environment and cultural norms of US classrooms.
