
Join the Office of Research and Innovation and the Association for Women in Science (https://awis.org/) for a luncheon celebrating women in science and their impact. The guest speaker will be Susan Martinis, vice chancellor for research and innovation at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, who will present “GO BIG: A Career Journey of Leadership in STEM.” Martinis, who is also Stephen G. Sligar Professor of molecular and cellular biology, will discuss her journey as a scientist in both academia and private industry, and as an administrator who leads the way in advancing public-private-governmental partnerships. She will describe her leadership philosophy and offer advice to help faculty maximize their potential.
