The 2026 Student Research Days will be held April 6-10, with graduate and undergraduate student poster sessions April 7 and 8. Event organizers will also host a workshop highlighting how to prepare and present across a variety of disciplines on February 26.
Students in engineering or the physical sciences will present April 7, followed by students in the arts and humanities, business, education, journalism, life sciences, and social sciences on April 8. All students on invited to present their research or creative activity during the sessions. A limited number of televisions and other resources are available for presentations in modes other than a research poster. Students must register by March 13, where they can also sign up for a competition which will award prizes for top presenters.
Judges are also needed for the presentations. UNL faculty, postdocs, graduate students, and staff who hold a master’s degree or higher are eligible to evaluate four to six student presentations. A rubric and score sheet for judging presentations will be provided.
The undergraduate sessions will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm each day. Graduate presentations will be held from 3:00pm-5:00pm each day. Judges will be provided with a schedule and instructions in advance for the event. Please note that faculty and postdocs may judge undergraduate posters.
