The Center for Academic Success and Transition (CAST) is a campus resource focused on supporting students as they navigate the academic and personal demands of college. Our office offers resources such as Academic Success Coaching to support graduate student success during their time at UNL.
Through one-on-one coaching, we work with students on things like:
- Time management and weekly structure — figuring out how to realistically plan your time
- Prioritizing and managing long-term projects — breaking big goals into workable steps
- Work/life balance and stress management — building habits that feel sustainable, not exhausting
- Talking through advisor/PI relationships, imposter feelings, and academic pressure — with a neutral, confidential coach outside your department
Coaching is personal, judgment free, and focused on helping students succeed in ways aligned with individual needs rather than a single approach. We are here to support YOU during your graduate school journey!
If you would like to meet with a CAST Coach, you can schedule a session here.
If you want to learn more about CAST, you can do that through our website.
