The Graduate Student Assembly is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Chancellor’s Graduate Research Grant (CGRG) Spring 2026 cycle.

This grant program supports graduate students by expanding access to research and professional opportunities, advancing progress toward degree completion, fostering professional development, and increasing the visibility of UNL through scholarly engagement and research dissemination.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
Travel Awards
Support for conference travel and approved professional or research-related activities.

  • Domestic Travel: $800
  • International Travel: $1,000

Research Activities Awards
Funding for research projects that directly support completion of a Master’s or PhD degree (not for conference travel).
  • Up to $300 per student

    Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. First-time applicants are prioritized.

Application Deadline: April 27, 2026

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To apply, you must:
  • Be a graduate or professional student enrolled in the Graduate College at UNL
  • Be in good academic standing at the time of application
  • Complete all funded travel prior to graduation
  • Have received no more than one Travel Award per academic year
  • Submit only one application per semester (Fall or Spring)
