The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning is an international network that offers courses and training for graduate students and postdocs to help prepare them for teaching and careers in academia.
There are three levels of certification: Associate, Practitioner and Scholar. All students start at the Associate level. Associate Certification requires completing a pedagogy course, 4 workshops on teaching, a teaching philosophy, and teaching observations. Practitioner and Scholar levels requires additional courses and workshops as well as Teaching as Research Project where they implement a project to improve their teaching and present the results publicly.
