To students earning your graduate degrees on Friday – Congratulations! Your success has enhanced the national and global reputation of our graduate programs and the entire University. You have enriched the lives of those around you and I have no doubt you will continue to be outstanding ambassadors of the University of Nebraska.
To the faculty mentors who have guided, counseled and encouraged – thank you! Your hard work and support of our graduate students is the bedrock of our graduate programs. Because of your efforts, there will be approximately 460 master’s and 95 doctoral students graduating on Friday. Your dedication is unmatched and I’m proud to count you all as colleagues.
So, on behalf of the entire staff in Graduate Studies, congratulations once again to all of our graduate students. My hope is that you take time to celebrate your achievement with parents, spouses, children and friends. I’m certain that their support has made your educational journey a bit less stressful.
