College student mental health has become a preeminent concern among University administrators nationwide. The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has launched several initiatives to provide care and support for students. Jake Johnson and Kara Brant will discuss how concerns about student’s mental health and corresponding behaviors are addressed by an interdisciplinary team of campus professionals known as the Behavioral Intervention Team. This presentation will cover concepts such as distinguishing between troubling behavior and policy violations, how to report concerns, what to include reports, and what happens once those reports are received.
