Acclaimed singer/songwriter Susan Werner returns to the Lied Center Sept. 6 performing the Nebraska debut of her new album, Hayseed.
With songs commissioned by the Lied and UNL’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hayseed celebrates the language, livelihood and concerns of American farmers. Susan Werner traverses pop, folk, blues, country, roots, jazz and gospel with grace and wit. Her music is described by the Washington Post as “impressive, funny and compassionate.”
Werner's performance is at 7:30. Tickets are free but must be obtained in advance, available by visiting the Lied Center Box Office, M-F, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or from the IANR's vice chancellor's office.
