The Nebraska legislative session is currently underway. If you are contacted by a state or federal level legislative members, or by government executive agencies; or you plan to contact one of those groups, please contact Jill Brown (jbrown14@unl.edu or 402-472-2871). Jill serves as the IANR registered lobbyist and as a member of the Varner Hall legislative team. As a team, they review/monitor/discuss every bill introduced and decide on the universities position on the proposed legislation. If there are particular legislative matters you have an interest in, please also share those with Jill. I know she appreciates any insights or opinions you may have on the legislative bills so she can best represent us collectively. This will assist her in staying on top of issues of importance to IANR while assisting you in your efforts.
