
Department of Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education is researching how effective animated cartoons and live-action movies are when they are used to teach vocabulary words. Students can volunteer to participate and sign up by April 15.
Enrollments in the study are currently open for UNL students only until Friday, April 15th. To sign up, click here and use video2022 for password. Further instructions will follow in the module.
Students must be:
- Age 19 or older
- Have adequate English proficiency in reading and listening. Intermediate and advanced English language learners are also welcomed.
In the second session (a week after the first session), participants will be asked to take a vocabulary test (7 multiple choice questions) to see how much they still remember. There are no risks involved in this research.
In exchange for participation, participants will receive a $5 Visa e-gift card for each study session up to $10 in e-gift cards total for completing two sessions.
