Summer Saturdays in Lincoln: The Haymarket Farmers Market

The Haymerket Farmers Market
The Haymerket Farmers Market

Every Saturday from May 7 through mid-October, the Historic Haymarket in downtown Lincoln hosts a Farmers Market from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Come down to the Haymarket and stroll through the streets (closed to traffic during Market hours) to see, smell and taste hundreds of items, produced by local farmers, artisans, and talented people of all sorts. Hear live music and chat with shopkeepers as you wander through the market, sipping an iced coffee from one of the local coffee shops in the Haymarket or snacking on a home-baked treat from one of the vendors. Some items you might find at the Farmers Market include a vast variety of fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms, cookies, baklava, egg rolls, kettle corn, enchiladas, jewelry, artwork, dried and fresh flowers, candles, soaps, tie dyed apparel, dried meats, cheeses, nuts, stuffed animals, and so much more! Although items at vendor stalls cost money, there is no charge to simply walk through the Farmers Market and enjoy the sights and sounds of summer in Nebraska. A must-see while in Lincoln!!
