Does it make you nervous to speak up in class? Fear of public speaking is very common and we have a solution for you. Attend EC Speakers Toastmasters Club via zoom on Wednesday evenings, 5:45pm to 6:45pm, CDT.

What is Toastmasters? It is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills in a club setting. There are clubs in Lincoln, Nebraska and all around the world. It is not a place to make toast for breakfast nor is it a place where we give toasts of celebration to each other.

What can I gain by being an active member in the Toastmasters Club? There are many benefits. Here a just a few:

1. improve your public speaking skills
2. practice writing speeches and presenting in a small group
3. gain self-confidence
4. receive feedback from club members
5. access to Pathways learning experience which is the online program
6. gain that competitive advantage in your classes and in your workplace

Who can join EC Speakers Toastmasters Club? Anyone over age 18 can join the club. We encourage individuals interested in learning how the meetings are structured to visit a club meeting or two. See the meeting in action and perhaps even participate in the meeting in a small role. Visiting a club meeting is easy and free.

How do I join the club officially? Once you experience the club meeting and decide that this is for you, we will provide you with a Toastmaster membership application and more details of how to join.

Where can I learn more about Toastmasters International? Feel free to check out toastmasters.org which is a website with lots of information.
