Engage Lincoln: Lincoln Parks and Recreation Rose Garden

Lincoln Parks and Recreation invites residents to volunteer for a rose garden maintenance project Saturday, April 13 from 9am to 11am. Volunteers will learn the proper spring pruning and maintenance techniques and help with pruning plants around the garden.

Sign up to volunteer by clicking on the RSVP button at https://unl.campuslabs.com/engage/event/9137910. On the day of event plan to meet us at Hamann Rose Garden, just southeast of the South 27 Street and Capitol Parkway intersection and west of the Lincoln Children’s Zoo. Volunteers are asked to wear appropriate gardening clothing and bring pruners, loppers, and leather gloves.

The Engage Lincoln program enables UNL students to volunteer at a Lincoln base nonprofit organization connected to addressing community needs. Learn More about ENGAGE LINCOLN week in September follow this link: https://involved.unl.edu/engage-lincoln
