The International Student & Scholar Office (ISSO) is hiring student workers for Fall 2024!
Are you an international student at UNL looking to gain professional experience while enhancing community among global peers? If so, we invite you to apply to be an International Event Coordinator (IEC) at ISSO! In this role, you’ll work alongside other international students and ISSO staff to provide support for UNL's international student community.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending and helping to coordinate events like the ice cream social, Global Hot Drinks, and Global Connections, as well as ISSO-sponsored trips to places like Roca Berry Farm, the Henry Doorly Zoo, and Nebraska Outlet Mall
- Contributing to success of Life in Lincoln (LIL) event series by hosting and leading LIL activities
- Maintaining contact with new international students throughout the academic year, offering support and outreach to help ensure that our first-year students feel supported and connected on campus
- Performing general administrative duties for ISSO, including answering telephones, attending to walk-in traffic, scanning, graphic design, and data management tasks
