The next ACES meeting is set for Friday at 3:30 in Room 120 in Andersen. We'll be Skyping with two Nebraska graduates who work at Meredith Corp., a publishing company in Des Moines, Iowa, which oversees magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal, Fitness and more. Our guests will include Doug Kouma, managing editor, and Metta West, associate copy editor. They will tell us about how they got started in magazine editing, what it's like compared to newspapers and offer advice on how to break into the industry. Come prepared with plenty of questions!
