Presented by University Career Services (UCS), #HIREME is a career prep event for all students in which they meet and have conversations with employers and UCS career coaches to learn tips, tricks and best practices.

During #HIREME, students will be able to join four (4) conversation circles to help get prepared for all aspects of career and internship readiness, such as attending career fairs, applying for positions, interviewing, and networking. There will be 12 different conversation topics, led by employers and career advisors.
While offered in conjunction with the fall career fairs, ALL students are invited and encouraged to attend #HIREME, as conversation topics and the related conversation tracks will be targeted to meet the varied needs of students.
Conversation topics will include:

2.) Researching employers
3.) Internship 101
4.) Career Eye (What to Wear)
5.) Finding a workplace that values your authentic self
6.) Post-fair: Following Up
7.) Creating Your Brand
8.) Networking
9.) Best Resume Practices
10.) International Students at the Fairs
11.) Elevator Pitch
12.) Resume Reviews
Different conversation tracks will be offered to help students know which conversations will be most beneficial to them:

#ImYourIntern: For students looking for internships
#HuskerHired: For students looking for a job post-graduation
#International Husker: For international students
#StrengthInDiversity: For students from diverse backgrounds or historically underrepresented groups
