Marketing Coordinator

This individual will assist with the development and implementation of integrated advertising campaigns and marketing programs to drive sales and create brand awareness, while focusing on: facilitating the completion of marketing and communications plans through direct marketing, print, online and broadcast media on behalf of the Nebraska Book Company Brand. Other duties will include, but are not limited to:


* Support development and distribution of marketing and sales materials.
* Works closely with supervisor, project teams, and creative resources to manage projects through the system.
* Review and edit promotional materials and imprints prior to production.
* Work with vendor partners to execute materials in support of Marketing initiatives.
* Analyze needs and assists in the development of marketing campaigns and promotions consistent with target audience and the brand.
* Maintain, track and update estimates, due dates and billing/invoice information from outside agencies and vendors necessary to successfully implement campaigns and promotions in an accurate, timely and cost effective manner.
* Manage buy back support on behalf of Wholesale Bookstore Partners, including but not limited to customer contact and service, creating and management of requested buy back materials, coordination of printing and shipping on deadline.
* Work in collaboration with the Creative Department to facilitate the buy back process
* Manage customer relations
* Manage bi-annual partner appreciation materials while working closely with outside agencies/companies to effectively execute this process on behalf of Nebraska Book Company.
* Assist with convention and event planning. Some travel required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education
* Bachelor's Degree in advertising, marketing or a
business-related major preferred

Experience
* Some experience applying marketing strategies in a business environment preferred
* Some experience working in the following environments helpful: retail store, business-to-consumer sales, higher education or advertising agency.

Skills
* Knowledge of marketing strategies and ability to consider relative costs and benefits to make appropriate decisions
* Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
* Innate ability to think strategically and problem solve as needed.
* Solid project management skills, including an attention to accuracy, detail, prioritization, and excellent follow through on project delivery.
* Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, and an ability to handle multiple assignments while operating under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Computer
* Proficiency with computers including database software,
internet, spreadsheet and word processing software
* Word, Excel, and PowerPoint = Advanced
* Access & Adobe CS5 = Intermediate

Travel
* Minimal travel required - approximately up to 10%

Multimedia Specialist
This position will be responsible for designing and producing layouts in a variety of formats and mediums including HTML, email, advertising, brochures, newsletters, and sales materials for all clients of Nebraska Book Company. Depending on departmental requirements and personal aptitude, assignments will vary from finished art preparation to the creation of original material.

Educational and/or Experience:
Applicant must have moderate to high PC or related computer experience. High degree of proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver. Must have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS. Actively learns and applies new graphic design trends and skills. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

pressure, high level of creativity, team player, strong
problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, strong oral and
written communication skills, proactive at identifying and owning
opportunities.
