The North Platte Telegraph is looking for a detail-oriented grammar nerd with a passion for polishing reporters' stories and designing clean, readable pages. Knowledge of inCopy, inDesign, Photoshop or similar apps is a must. Mad headline-writing skills are a plus. If you thrive in a fast-paced workplace, you'll feel right at home here.
Skills required:
> Experience editing news and feature stories
> Knowledge of AP style
> Page design using inDesign or similar programs
> Basic web posting and social media experience
> Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects while maintaining a professional attitude
A degree in journalism or a related degree and/or newspaper editing experience required. One to three years of professional newspaper experience preferred. Hours are 3 p.m.-midnight and will include Saturday shifts.
