A month-long trip to China through CoJMC will take students to Shanghai, Beijing, Hanzhou and Xi'an to study advertising, public relations, and media in the fastest growing large economy of the world.

Visits to ad agencies, PR firms and media outlets will be included in the trip, as well as visits to American companies doing business in China, such as Walmart, Starbucks and McDonald's.

Amy Struthers, Associate Professor of Advertising and Public Relations, will lead the trip. The class will travel in tandem with UNL Management Professor and Chinese native Weixing Li, and his business students.
Professor Li has led this trip for several years, so has a tested itinerary and outstanding connections in all the cities to be visited.

Students can enroll in ADPR 491/891 Advertising and Public Relations in China for 3 credit hours, and have the option of also registering for Professor Li's class, BSAD 491/891 International Business in China.

Trip costs include about $2,500 for the trip (lodging, many meals, travel within China), plus about $1,200 for the flight. UNL tuition and fees are additional.

There is even a possibility of extending stays to include month-long internships after the rest of the group leaves!
