Hello from the White House News Photographers Association!
The WHNPA Student Contest Committee is proud to announce our 5th year of competition for the 2012 WHNPA Student Photographer of the Year. This year's contest will again be sponsored in part by Momenta Workshops with scholarships for all the winners. Likewise, the Association and our sponsors will be working to make this year's contest prizes even more enticing than ever!
This year's Student POY Contest Judging Day on March 17, 2012 will have a new feature. We will open with morning presentations of the inspiration portfolios from featured WHNPA award winners. The judging is open to the public as always. We are very excited about this new addition and we hope the local photographic and student community will take advantage of this great opportunity to see the award winning work of our members. A promotional poster with the speakers will be sent out on March 1, 2012. If you are in the Washington area, we highly encourage your students to join us!
