Platte Basin Timelapse (PBT) is currently looking for a new Production Intern to join our team.
Since 2011, the Platte Basin Timelapse project has been telling stories using time-lapse and traditional photography to educate people about where their water comes from, and what it means to live in a watershed today. The PBT team creates innovative multimedia content to tell the myriad stories of the Platte: web-based journalism, combining art and research, STEM-based educational curriculum for middle and high school science students, and a documentary film for public television.
The production intern plays an important role in processing the PBT images into time-lapse videos. With more than 2,000,000 images the student will be given directed tasks and also creative freedom to create unique time-lapse presentations for our website, our storytelling efforts, social media, exhibits, and more. The student will also have the opportunity to contribute to PBT's online storytelling efforts.
The intern will be working mostly with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Nikon DSLR cameras, so prior knowledge of these tools is ideal but not necessary. We will provide any additional training that may be needed through Adobe Creative Cloud and other storytelling applications.
The multisemester internship is paid, minimum wage and a minimum of 10 hours a week. We are looking for a student who is passionate about water, environmental conservation, educational outreach, and multimedia storytelling. Some of the qualities we will be looking for in a candidate include; excellent communication skills, self-motivated, eager and willing to learn, creative mind, accountable.
