PRSSA: A semester reflection

Our 4th Annual Gratitude Gala last week marked the end of another rewarding and exciting semester with the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and we want to thank those who helped us celebrate. We greatly appreciate all of your continued support.

At the 2019 Gratitude Gala, PRSSA thanked contributing members to the chapter, including alumni, mentors and current members. The event is meant to celebrate those important people who have helped PRSSA grow over the past few years.

The following individuals and organizations were recognized by PRSSA for all the hard work they’ve contributed to the College of Journalism and Mass Communications and beyond:

This semester, PRSSA focused on professional development with events such as “Adulting 101” and “Meet the Mentors” that provided valuable networking opportunities for students. PRSSA also toured various local agencies including: Hudl, The Foundry and The Bay.

One of the most notable successes of the chapter this semester was when PRSSA sent a record number of six students to the PRSSA International Conference in San Diego this past October. Executive board members learned key industry insights and takeaways from current professionals attending the parent conference, Public Relations Society of America International Conference(PRSA ICON) which also took place in San Diego. Students also had the opportunity to network with other PRSSA students from around the world.
