The Grand Island Independent, a leading newspaper in Central Nebraska, is looking for a page designer. This position also involves writing headlines and editing copy. The position also could involve building news graphics.
This editor needs to be familiar with InDesign and Photoshop. Strong editing skills and knowledge of AP style are also required.
Position involves night and weekend shifts. Previous experience working in a deadline-based environment preferred, but qualified, recent college graduates will be considered. College degree in journalism, English or a related discipline is preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits.
