NET, Nebraska’s PBS and NPR is looking for a professional to coordinate and produce NET broadcast program schedules on a monthly basis and changes when necessary. Communicates and works with the NET Program Manager and contractual service provider for program services to insure accuracy in the schedules. Acquires program offer information for national and local productions, enters metadata, rights and acquires media needed to distribute the content. Responsible for producing NET television broadcast logs and NET Radio logs. Coordinates program acquisition and formats for Pledge drives. Insures correct Pledge program versions are acquired and ready for broadcast. Communicates any deviations or discrepancies in Pledge schedules. Coordinates television and radio underwriting contracts insuring flights are properly placed to execute contracts for NET World and NET Radio placement. Maintains the media library database, insuring that NET broadcast production masters are secured in the archive/vault. Serve as backup for Media Services Traffic positions.
Minimum of Associate’s degree in business, Marketing or related field plus one (1) year relevant experience equivalent education/experience will be considered. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to enter data accurately.
Ideal candidate will have two (2) years relative experience. Knowledge of practices/processes necessary to produce Television/Radio broadcast schedules, logs, coordination of underwriting contracts and media. Practical knowledge of scheduling systems and databases in order to manage and coordinate information. Knowledge of promotion production and coordination. Knowledge of FCC regulations pertaining to broadcast operations.
