Social Media Intern - Lindsay Corporation (Omaha, NE)

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a Social Media Intern. This role will be responsible for supporting Lindsay’s social media content and channel management, with a focus on corporate and irrigation segment channels. This role will also include support for other marketing functions, such as marketing research and content development for Lindsay’s website and intranet. The ideal candidate will be proactive, extremely detail oriented, have a passion for communicating, able to translate business and marketing objectives into day-to-day action, and have a continuous improvement mindset.

Position Details:
This short-term, hourly internship will be based at Lindsay’s corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, which may include partial remote work in accordance with Lindsay’s COVID-19 safety policies. Travel is unlikely but possible, though isn’t a requirement for the role. As an hourly position, employer benefits are not offered. An internship may lead to a full-time permanent opportunity, but is not a guarantee of permanent placement within the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:
> Monitor assigned social media channels daily to identify reactive and proactive engagement opportunities, and respond to follower comments/questions/direct messages
> Assist with design and execution of social media content and campaigns
> Work closely across departments to manage customer and follower inquiries as appropriate
> Build, manage and implement social media content calendar for assigned channels
> Collect and develop content ideas for assigned channels, including working across the business to mine for stories
> Ensure adherence to Lindsay’s global social media strategy while representing the voice of Lindsay and driving growth of channel followers and engagement
> Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate overall channel performance
> Identify insights and opportunities for improvement and to inform future content, campaigns and engagement opportunities

Preferred Qualifications
> Technical, working knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram for business
> Familiarity with social media marketing concepts and tactics
> Excellent written communication skills, including writing for business and writing for social media
> Experience with content management systems and standard business communication programs, such as Microsoft Office
> Experience and ability to grow proficiency with social media and web analytics tools such as Facebook Insights and Google Analytics
> Experience with image/video editing software preferred but not required
> Interest in social media marketing trends
