Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska's (BCBSNE) communications department is looking for current college students to intern, beginning in May 2021.
The communications intern will work closely with communications team members to write and edit a variety of communication pieces to support internal communications and media relations. This individual will also be tasked with assisting with ongoing programs and special events.
What you'll do:
> Write and edit a variety of communications pieces, including intranet and newsroom content, posters, scripts, brochures and other company collateral
> Work closely with communications staff to coordinate programs and projects
> Assist with special event planning and execution
> Must meet or exceed department attendance and timeliness requirements
> Must work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with others
To be considered for an interview, you must meet all of the following:
> Current college student pursuing a degree in Journalism, English, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Business
> Strong organizational skills with consistent attention to details and deadlines
> Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
> Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
> Strong collaboration and communication (written and verbal) skills
> Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of AP Style
> Outstanding written and verbal skills
