Lakeview Elementary School, 300 Capitol Beach Blvd., wants to start a journalism club and is looking for a couple of college journalism majors to run it.
The club leaders will help students interview for, write and edit a school/neighborhood newsletter that will be sent home with every student and also distributed to local businesses.
The club meets once a week from 3:38-4:45 p.m. for six weeks in each of the four quarters of the school year. Meetings will begin the week after Labor Day.
Club leaders will be paid $10 per hour for planning time and club meeting times.
