Opportunity to write and edit a range of materials for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources. You will work with the EdMedia Publishing team to develop publications and web articles that help researchers and specialists produce technical information that's easily understood by the target audience. Products may include flyers, information guides (NebGuides, ECs), technical publications, promotional materials and content for websites. You'll also be working with the News team to research, interview and write stories that will be distributed to newspapers, radio, TV, magazines and websites and may assist with social media, including writing podcasts.
We would like the student available for approximately 15-20 hours/week during the school year. Summer employment and/or an internship also may be available.
experience=Experience writing and editing news stories or publications (work in news editorial classes included); completion of at least one news writing and reporting class (and preferably, an editing class) or equivalent experience with a newspaper or public information or public relations office.
additional:
Sophomore standing; juniors or seniors preferred
Interest in or knowledge of agriculture, natural resources or science desirable, but not required.

salary:
$9-10/hour for approximately 15-20 hours/week during the school year.
