CBC-UNC DIVERSITY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Graduating seniors seeking careers as TV reporters, producers, videographers/editors or directors

Five-day intensive workshop led by WRAL professionals and
UNC professors


March 13-17, 2013


WRAL-TV in Raleigh, NC, and UNC campus in Chapel Hill, NC


To help you land your first job and to prepare you to advance in the industry. You will receive hands-on training and leave with a fully produced piece for the top of your resume reel.

To apply, send a 250-word essay describing how your personal diversity contributes to the diversity of the TV news industry.
Also send a letter of reference from a professor or administrator, a resume, and a resume reel of your best work. Be sure to indicate the role you are interested in (producer, reporter, etc.).

Students traveling from locations within 250 miles will receive $500 to offset travel costs and those traveling from more than 250 away will receive $1000.

Dec. 31, 2012. Selected students will be notified and provided with travel and lodging instructions by February 1.
