The Nebraska Press Association Foundation and member newspapers of the Nebraska Press Association are sponsoring the Nebraska Press Association Scholarship Program for journalism students. Applications are due February 22, 2013.
Up to four $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to full-time college students who are currently enrolled in a Nebraska-based college or university with a major leading to a career in print journalism.
Preference in awarding the scholarships will be given to students with specific interest in news, editorial, photography, circulation, production, or advertising careers on weekly, semiweekly or daily newspapers.
Selection of the recipients will be based on scholastic ability and good citizenship in school and community.
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college or university upon satisfactory completion of the first semester and proof of second semester enrollment.
