Position Information
Job Title: Intern – Project Management
No. of Openings: 1
Hours Per Week: 40
Duration: May – August (when school ends until school begins)
Location: Student’s living arrangements must accommodate working in Shawnee, KS
Position Objectives:
• Provide support to product transfer activities
• Participate in project management and technical transfer for products
Position Responsibilities:
• Develop understanding of database number structure including creation and modification processes
• Develop working knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Work within multiple project teams to develop understanding of product transfer processes and support each project manager to meet milestone targets
• Develop product transfer plan documents by developing an understanding of various products’ technical aspects
• Communicate directly with customer as required through the project manager
• Interface with internal and external resources to facilitate the transfer of process knowledge to the manufacturing environment
• Support manufacturing efficiency and operations projects by interfacing with internal departments
Applicant Qualifications:
• Completion of a minimum of two years of college in pursuit of a BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related science
• Student must demonstrate high levels of value and integrity
• Effective communication skills and computer literacy is a must
