Position title: Journalism Intern
Position description:
Research archived “how-to” street rod and dirt track racing articles, and
rewrite with a modern perspective. This includes creating photo galleries and
tracking down relevant video, if applicable. Special consideration given
towards writing good headlines and subheads.
Create a list of article ideas for an original online article to be reported
and written during the course of the internship, with a weekly meeting to
touch base on where the work stands in relation to a set deadline.
Required experience:
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Currently working towards a degree in English, Journalism,
Communications, or related.
Intern candidates must be currently enrolled in college/university with at
least one semester to go.
Online article production experience.
Detail oriented with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Photo gallery production and online video streaming experience.
Car enthusiast.
Additional Requirements and General Information (education, skills,
transportation): Work closely with members of the Marketing, Ecommerce,
Merchandising & Call Center Technical Departments to ensure article
accurateness. Must have an understanding of dirt track racing and/or street
rods.
