Well known as the original designer of the Google logo, Ruth Kedar is an accomplished artist and designer. Born in Brazil, she moved to Israel where she earned her degree in Architecture from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. She then moved to the US where she attended Stanford and received her Masters degree in Design.
Kedar served as a visiting professor at Stanford from 1988-1999. This is where she was approached by founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, about preliminary design ideas of a logo and website. They liked her approach and hired Kedar to design both. The logo was accepted due to its playful design, font style and visual appeal.

Ruth also spent 3 years as Art Director at Adobe, and is currently Creative Design Director at Coupons Inc and Principal at Kedar Designs.
